The waiver must be applied for every year until the teacher either obtains the required degree or is no longer working in a role requiring one. Submission of this waiver application does not guarantee approval. Please note the paper version of the Teacher Waiver Form is no longer required. The questions previously on that form are now embedded in this online Annual Report. To be considered for re-approval The teacher must have had an approved waiver the previous year. Documentation showing that the teacher is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program at an accredited post-secondary institution must be uploaded. The teacher must successfully complete at least 12 credit hours per year toward the degree. A current transcript and degree plan with an anticipated date of graduation must be uploaded. To be considered for first-time approval The teacher is teaching a core class (for the purpose of this standard, core classes are Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies/History). The teacher must have earned at least 60 credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution. Documentation showing that the teacher is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program at an accredited post-secondary institution must be uploaded. The teacher must successfully complete at least 12 credit hours per year toward the degree. A current transcript and degree plan with an anticipated date of graduation must be uploaded. OR The teacher is not teaching a core class. Documentation showing that the teacher has other experience/training that qualifies him/her to teach the non-core subject must be uploaded.
